Stefania Macchione is a clinical psychologist specialized in Psychology of Aging and Longevity and a cognitive-behavioural psychotherapist in training. After two years of experience in the field of neuroscientific research in Italy and abroad, and a job as a psychologist in a facility for the elderly, since 2018 she has been working at the specialized centre for dementia ISRAA - Treviso (Istituto per Servizi di Ricovero e Assistenza agli Anziani) and at FABER-Fabbrica Europa (ISRAA) in the field of European projects and community interventions related to ageing. Her activities consist in the writing, implementation and management of projects related to the social isolation of elderly people over 65 and the self-management of their own health in a preventive perspective in people over 50. Her training activity for professionals, volunteers and citizens is based on community involvement techniques, community policies, motivational aspects and coaching on the adoption of healthy lifestyles. In the clinical field she works providing psychological support to elderly people with dementia and their caregivers at home in the city of Treviso and its province.
